Letter From the Principal

Dear Parents,

I love being a part of this community because so many others clearly love the community as well.  I have been attending as many tournament basketball games as I can and it is so much fun to sit with the kids and cheer.  Friday I attended Confirmation, Saturday I attended The Taste of St. Michael and Sunday I topped off the weekend watching our 7th and 8th grade boys team beat OLOL.  Every event was packed with people who spend the majority of their time serving, giving, volunteering or simply being a part of this amazing community.  Please know how blessed I feel to get to be a part of St. Michael.  Special thanks to all of those who put so much time and energy into The Taste of St. Michael, especially Lisa Wilhemus and Shannon Montano.

I know it is only February, but it is time to start planning for the next school year.  The budget process is beginning, some are announcing their retirement, and others are planning for the excitement and new energy the next school year will bring. We have gotten the go ahead to offer a Junior Kindergarten.  This will be an additional kindergarten class designed especially for students who will turn five by August 1st but need an additional year to prepare.  Please visit the following link for more information, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to call either me or Mrs. Krill. I am always open for ideas and suggestions and want St. Michael to be the absolute best it can be.  Don't hesitate to let me know if you have concerns, ideas, or suggestions.    For more information, please visit
Today we began the Lenten Season with a prayer service at 9:30 a.m. This Lenten Season I am starting a new tradition by adding a prayer book that will go from family to family in our very special, precious community of St. Michael.  It will allow each family to learn about another family in our community, their children, and their prayers for each member.  Pictures will be involved as well as specific prayers.  Every two to three days to book will be handed to another family. This is a great opportunity to pray with your spouse and kids even if you have never done it before. Every family member will get to write a special note or prayer in the book before sending it on.  Just think, you may get to know someone you know nothing about just by reading through this book and praying for them.
Even now,” declares the LORD, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.”
13 Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.
14 Who knows? He may turn and relent and leave behind a blessing— grain offerings and drink offerings for the LORD your God.
-Joel 2:12-14

Have a Wonderful Week and Many Blessing this Lenten Season,
Stacy Tackett
